Spidey News from Newtonia

Well the arachnid welcoming committee called this morning.

My eight legged nemesis crawled over the arm of my magic chair at approximately 7.30 this morning. My feeble screams eventually brought Katy, spider catcher in hand to my rescue. Will post about hospital experiences when shaking has stopped.

To paraphrase Travis, why do they always walk on me?...

Dear Chairwoman
Welcome home!
Now, you may not know this, but I recently read that conkers keep spiders away. I gave the link to the article to Katy Newton. It's the right time of year to give it a try.

How nice to see you back. :-)

Looking forward to hearing of your adventures in the NHS... After the last few months I intend to stay as far away from it as I can.

At least I've had a very congenial Visitor this week, though he does leave quite a mess. ;-) Been good company though, and suspect he's trained to catch those nasty 8 legged creatures as his housemates are both arachnophobes too!

Best wishes from Liverpool

Dandelion may well be right. I brought back several conkers from France (no William the Conkerer jokes please) and no spider was or is in the vicinity of any of them.
